Hulu has built up one of the best TV lineups in streaming, especially if you’re into comedies. The streamer’s mix of originals and next-day network shows makes it a go-to spot for everything from laugh-out-loud sitcoms to sharp, character-driven dramas. Thanks to its deal with ABC and Fox, it’s got some of the best network hits the day after they air, plus a solid collection of buzzy new originals that keep things fresh. Whether you’re into fast-paced thrillers, heartfelt coming-of-age stories, or smartly written dark comedies, Hulu’s got a little bit of everything. So, here are my top 7 favorite shows streaming on the platform right now.
Top 7TV shows streaming on Hulu right now:
No. 7: ‘Interior Chinatown’ (2024) | Black dramedy
Coming in at No. 7 is “Interior Chinatown.” This one definitely flew under the radar, but it’s absolutely worth watching. Based on the award-winning novel by Charles Yu, the show blends satire, drama, and dark humor to tell the story of Willis Wu, a struggling actor stuck playing stereotypical roles in a fictional police procedural. But as he starts questioning the roles he’s been assigned - not just on screen but in life - the show dives deep into identity, Hollywood’s history of typecasting, and what it really means to be the main character of your own story. It’s sharp, funny, and completely unique, flipping between genres in a way that makes every episode feel fresh. If you’re looking for something a little different but still totally binge-worthy, this is the one to check out.

No. 6: ‘The Bear’ (2022) | Drama
Don’t get it twisted - just because “The Bear” has racked up a bunch of awards in the comedy category doesn’t mean it’s an easy, lighthearted watch. This show is a drama - an intense, anxiety-inducing, heart-pounding drama at that. Following Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), a fine-dining chef who returns home to run his late brother’s chaotic sandwich shop, the series dives deep into grief, family dynamics, and the brutal, high-pressure world of restaurant kitchens. It’s fast, loud, and at times, genuinely stressful to watch, but that’s part of what makes it so powerful. The show’s ability to balance raw emotion with moments of quiet beauty and triumph is what makes it one of the most satisfying and well-crafted dramas on TV right now.

Carmy, a young fine-dining chef, comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop. As he fights to transform the shop and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges crew that ultimately reveal themselves as his chosen family.
No. 5: ‘Abbott Elementary’ (2021) | Mockumentary comedy
At No. 5 on the list is “Abbott Elementary,” a show that absolutely nails the mockumentary format. If you’re a fan of comedies that break the fourth wall and thrive on awkward silences, quick glances to the camera, and a cast of lovable oddballs, this one’s a must-watch. Set in an underfunded Philadelphia public school, the series follows a group of dedicated teachers (and one wildly out-of-touch principal) as they try their best to make a difference - despite the absurd challenges thrown their way. It’s sharp, warm, and consistently funny, with a perfect mix of workplace humor and heartfelt moments. And since it’s an ABC show, new episodes hit Hulu the day after they air, making it easy to stay caught up.
Abbott Elementary
December 7, 2021
In this workplace comedy, a group of dedicated, passionate teachers — and a slightly tone-deaf principal — are brought together in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life. Though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.
No. 4: ‘The Great’ (2020) | Satirical comedy-drama
I’m not usually big on period pieces, but “The Great” is such a send-up of the genre that it works perfectly. This isn’t your typical historical drama - it’s sharp, hilarious, and completely unbothered by historical accuracy. Following the rise of Catherine the Great (Elle Fanning) as she plots to overthrow her ridiculous husband, Emperor Peter III (Nicholas Hoult), the show takes palace intrigue and turns it into pure comedic gold. The dialogue is fast, the satire is razor-sharp, and the performances are next-level, especially from Hoult, who makes Peter the most entertainingly awful royal in TV history. If you like your period dramas with a heavy dose of irreverence and biting wit, this is the one to watch.

No. 3: ‘Deli Boys’ (2025) | Crime comedy
It’s always exciting to see a show that explores a different cultural and criminal underworld, and “Deli Boys” does exactly that. This darkly funny crime drama follows two Pakistani American brothers who discover that their recently deceased father wasn’t just running a successful deli - he was also deeply embedded in the criminal world. As they’re pulled into a world of shady deals, family secrets, and unexpected power struggles, the show finds a perfect balance between high-stakes tension and sharp humor. It’s fast-paced, fresh, and packed with personality, offering a unique take on the immigrant experience, ambition, and what it really means to take over the family business. If you’re looking for something that brings both laughs and adrenaline, “Deli Boys” is a must-watch.

No. 2: ‘Paradise’ (2025) | Mystery thriller
One of the buzziest new shows of 2025, “Paradise” is the kind of series that hooks you from the very first episode. Blending mystery, thriller, and just the right amount of eerie atmosphere, it follows a seemingly perfect community where everything - and everyone - is just a little too good to be true. As cracks start to form in the utopian facade, dark secrets unravel, pulling the characters into a web of deception and danger. It’s got all the makings of a must-watch: a gripping central mystery, slow-burn tension, and a world that keeps you questioning what’s real and what’s not. If you’re into shows that keep you guessing until the very last moment, “Paradise” absolutely delivers.

No. 1: ‘Only Murders in the Building’ (2021) | Murder mystery comedy
I’ve loved every season of “Only Murders in the Building,” but I’ve gotta say - Season 4 might just be one of the strongest in the entire series. The twists kept me guessing until the very end, and the sheer number of stars packed into this season is getting borderline ridiculous (in the best way possible). Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez continue to bring their A-game as our favorite true crime podcasters-turned-detectives, and this time around, the mystery is more layered than ever. Between the sharp writing, the ever-growing cast of A-listers, and the perfect balance of comedy and suspense, “Only Murders in the Building” proves once again why it’s one of the most entertaining shows on TV. If you haven’t started this season yet, trust me - you’re in for a ride.
